A while ago my mom told me she heard Demi was still using and i thought no, she can’t possibly be after what happened. It scares me to hear she isn’t clean. I’ve never struggled with substances so I can’t say I understand the tremendous struggle but Elton said exactly what I was thinking. You can’t pretend and say you know your limits when you almost died. I just really hope I don’t see bad news concerning her.

This was powerful and I love how we can see her growth. Yes we will fall but just like Demi we can get back up if we have the chance. It's funny because I also went through a hard time back in 2020 and i suffered and cried but as the days passed I began to heal... one day I looked at myself in the mirror. I wanted to start new and just like Demi I wanted to change the way I looked so I chopped my hair off like her. I felt free. People can have opinions but in the end we should not live by others opinions but our own. Thank you Demi.

The problem with moderation is 1 beer can easily turn into 24 beers, 10 shots, an 8 ball of coke, Xanax, and heroin for the comedown. 1 beer can literally trigger that. And any alcoholic or addict will tell you this. I hope it works for her, but I can almost certainly say it won't. Stick with just weed.

I was on generic vivitrol (naltrexone) when I got out of rehab for opiate addiction. I stayed on it for several years, but it was especially helpful in the beginning of my recovery because it prevented my cravings. And logically, it helped me reason with myself that anything I bought and took would be a total waste because I couldn't feel it.

Sir Elton John nailed it. However, addiction is such a complex thing to even begin to understand. To her, and those who suffer from addiction, its an ongoing battle. Elton John out here being dead honest. I could never I’ve been clean four years and I can’t even drink cuz one is two then two is cocaine then cocaine is heroin. Or hit one bowl then one bowl is two then two bowls is heroin. Everything leads to my drug of choice and I know what I want if I do drink it’s not the feeling I want so I go straight to what I want. Heroin. But I guess maybe it does work for others idk

I’ll always be concerned about her, but I’m glad people are speaking up about 1) addiction recovery having to be YOUR choice not pressured, forced, etc. and 2) that there are many ways to go about with sobriety. Whether it’s moderation, completely being cut off substances, or any other way, not every way works for every person. And unfortunately not everyone will be able to be completely clean. Not everyone can do it. And yes it may lead to a worse relapse but as we saw with her father, some people just cannot stop. I can only hope she doesn’t feel the need to go back to harder drugs.

All of y’all acting like it’s everyone else’s job to make sure she stays sober and calling her friends enablers, it’s not up to them. They said it plenty of times, you can’t force a person into sobriety and everyone has tried it multiple times. Nobody is responsible for Demi’s sobriety except Demi, everyone else is just being nice and watching out for her. If she’s gonna drink she’s gonna drink whether or not people tell her not to. It’s better to just have your friends there’s for you when you fall then to keep burning yourself out trying to take care of someone who doesnt take care of themselves.

16:08 thats the message I needed from this episode. How to handle a trigger that could and has almost ended my life twice now. Suicidal depression and addiction is no joke. It's a very dark place but it's also so inviting when you're just tired and numb. I'm glad she is being open and vulnerable.

It's odd that someone with that much money & probably having so much taken care of.. can't at all take care of themselves in the least bit. Her forearms and double chin are a bit ridiculous. We need to start addressing the problem in North America of having these obese addicts as our idols. Bringing it up, shouldn't be an issue. Because this is an issue.
