You make it sound like TIX only won because of the person he is, but thats not the case. He won because most people connected and loved his song the most. I never vote for the artist, but the song...and I would assume most people do that.

And you don't have to teach me about Tourette's syndrome as my little brother has it (sadly not only tics in his eyes). You feel you are not good enough because of your struggles. You want your inner demons to release you from the pain they are causing you. Do tou see he is chained to those demons sorrounding him? He cant get away from them cause he is trapped in chains, so he realize that he have to let the one he loves go because he doesnt want to drag her down in the darkness with him. The song is personal/autobiographical Tix himself has said this about the song/staging: Imagine falling in love with the most beautiful angel you've ever seen, but then you can not fly with her because you have all this darkness/demons that keeps you down and holds you tight. That's the theme of my stage show. And if you wonder the reason he is wearing a big coat, bandana and sunglasses is because its part of his character TIX (and he has Touretts syndrom, so its also to hide his tics, so he dont have to worry about the tics in his eyes f.ex when he sings... its kind of an armour for him). He has said he has learned to control the tics especially when he is in the public.. but its strainful to control them though so he probably feels better wearing his «armour») He always wear a big coat, bandana and sunglasses when he is the character/artist When he was younger he was bullied by people he thought were his friends, and they called him TIX (because of his Touretts), so he decided to take ownership of that «name» and used it as his artist name. Btw the character Tix is supposed to be «over the top» (with all the gold etc), completely opposite of what Andreas his real name) is. Tix is outgoing and not afraid of anything, while Andreas is humble and wants to fit in. They have completely different views and values.

@Frederik Lerche Larsson When you have Touretts you make tics which is uncontrolled movements in your face and eyes especially and some also scream out uncontrolled words (often bad words) and sounds. He took the artist name TIX (because he was called tics). Tix (with an X) is just his artist name.

@sweet butterfly that's so sad! Thanks for explaining, I have been in a similar place so I understand that completely. I'm hoping mental health gets advertised more so it becomes more known and understood. I think many people either don't realise they have it, pretend everything is OK, or just don't understand it, I also think that because there has been a lot of bad impressions and opinions people sometimes feel ashamed. I think it also causes problems like money issues, or relationship issues and that can make it worse. I was lucky I had such great parents who were there for me, I don't know how I would have coped if it wasn't for them. But I felt so bad, to put it on them and in some ways make them suffer too. But I look back and I have to blame myself partly, because I never talked about things, I kept it hidden, and things piled up that it got too much. I sometimes think if I talked more about it then it wouldn't get so bad, and although sometimes I doubt this, there are times I honestly think it helps. Because its like releasing some weight of. Like if you had a pile of books it looks overwhelming, but if you take a book at a time eventually you will get through the pile of books, and it will look less overwhelming.

Смысл в том, что TIX персонаж и он всегда носит шубу, очки и бандану. Даже имя TIX произошло от его синдрома туретта, который вызывает тики, и он носит эту одежду чтобы скрыть это на сцене. Просто по смотрите один из его других видео и вы поймете.

@Vil maybe a masterpiece is a strong word... But I love this song because it reminds me of songs I used to listen in my elementary/high school days many years ago. It gives me kind of emo/pop/boyband vibes (owl city, hellogoodbye, simple plan etc.). It takes me back to those days. And I like the simple, yet strong lyrics because probably a lot of people felt like that at least at one point in their life. That's probably why I personally like this song so much. :)

@Mona Andersen It's the literal definition of cheesy to be honest.. That's why I didn't find it interesting at all in the beginning. When I analyzed the music I couldn't find any kind of unique quality to it in fact. That's honestly not meant in a rude way. As a musician myself who loves to analyze music and try to look for the "objective" qualities I couldn't really find anything impressive in the song then... Thus my later surprise when it started to grow on me... More... And more... I understimated it a lot unfortunately. Especially how catchy it was. And now I'm enjoying myself a lot listening to it in fact. I can't explain it... But it almost feels like TIX has somehow cracked the code of making cheesy cool? 🤔 So in other words.... By being cool he is reaching out to the younger audience, by having a cheesy song he is reaching out to the mothers who only are able to digest cheesy music, and with his angel wings, dancing demonds and staging he will be able to satisfy those in the ESC community who is more into the show. He will probably be able to gain some points for his story as well, as long as his message, if people got to know him. If he let himself be known I think he will be able to get a lot of points on him being an icon alone. Is this wishful thinking? Yeah.. Possibly... But let me be ☹️ I'm still sad about KEiiNO, alright? 😹🤧 Now I'm trying to stay positive and I'm rooting for TIX 🤗💕

I doubt he will change it to Norwegian, firstly cause he has allready recorded rhe back-up recording they all have to do in case they have to use that if the contestants arent able to travel to Rotterdam because of covid. He had to do that 2 days after the MGP final (they also had to «remove 2 demons + they added some more pyro). Secondly, the staging makes more sense with the english version and he also want the European public to understand the meaning of the song and connect with it. It is maybe possible to convince him to f.ex sing the last chorus in Norwegian (if people write to him on instagram fex and say they prefer sone of the song in Norwegian).

It captured me from the first listen. I saw the weird costume and I was sure I'm going to listen some kind of rap or something and I was like "what the hell, what a sweet song this is" ... It's damn catchy! It has the "Last Christmas" sweetness in it. Really hard to forget it!
